Ecliptic

The ecliptic which is known as the Kalachakram, Jagacchakram, Dharmachakram, Sudarsanam, is described as the two lateral parts of the Simsumara. The ecliptic is described as a ring road divided into three lanes. the 1st one is the Iravatha Veedhi with the 1st set of nine constellations starting from Aswini in Aries to Aslesha in Cancer, in three sub divisions called Naga, Gaja and Iravatha. The 2nd one is the Jaradgava Veedhi with the 2nd set of nine constellations starting from Makha in Leo to Jyesta in Scorpio, in three sub divisions known as Rushabha, Go and Jaradgava.
