8 Noble Trees

In Botany the eight noble trees are simply trees. Symbolically the 8 Noble Trees (birch, alder, willow, oak, rowan, hazel, apple, ash) - formed the initial consonants of an ancient cryptic alphabet, the Beth-Luis-Nion, and were thus part of the 12 trees of the Celtic Calendar.
