Khumba

The khumba is the Vessel of Immortality that contains the Amrita, the nectar of Immortality, that became the elixir of immortality and ambrosia of the gods in the West. It is linked with other sacred vessels such as Kamandalu and Kalasha. The Khumbha is variously called a Treasure Vase or a Flower Vase or simply Jar or Pitcher. kumbha also means suspending the breath as a religious exercise Khumba is Month 11 of the Hindu Calendar ranging in the Sidereal Calendar from 13 February - 14 March.
