Jewel

Jewel is a basic concept in world cultures. In the East, the pearl has a pride of place. Even so there are jewels atteched to each of the zodiac signs. Jewels are linked with precious stones and sacred stones and are the basis of jewelry which, in additon to decoration often has religious, political and ceremonial significance.
