In the Catholic Church, the Eucharist is one of the 7 Sacraments. It entails partaking of bread and wine which are believed to be body and blood of Christ. The extent to which this is to be taken literally via Transubstantiation or symbolically has been a realm of debate in both the Catholic and the protestant church. One version of the Eucharist (Q) made allusion to fire and water: Sanguine namque agni servatur domus a percussione angeli, et aqua maris rubri extinguuntur inimici que sunt mysteria ecclesie Christi. http://info.wlu.ca/~wwwhist/faculty/cnighman/Eucharistia.pdf
