Footprint of Jesus

On the south side of the rock, there is an appearance of a footprint. Some say that this was made by Abraham, while others claim that it was made by Muhammad on his as cent to heaven from the rock. It is known as either Kadam en-Nebi (Heel of the Prophet) or Kadam al-Sharif (Heel of the Noble One). When the rock was in Christian hands during the Crusades, the indentation quite naturally was called the footprint of Jesus.
