Raphael Terms

Raphael The name Raphael, meaning "God has healed" or "the shining one who heals," is of Chaldean origin. He was originally called Labbiel; the Hebrew term rapha means "healer," "doctor," or "surgeon." He is ruler of the angels of Healing, and ruler of the east. In the book of Tobit, at the end of the journey with Tobit,, Raphael reveals himself as "one of the seven holy angels" that attend the throne of God. He is "one of the four presences set over all the diseases and all the wounds of the children of men," (1 Enmoch), as well as one of the Watchers. In chapter 22, Raphael is a guide in the underworld. http://www.thothweb.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=printview&t=2521&start=0 spring = Raphael, summer = Uriel, autumn = Michael and winter = Gabriel http://liteweb.org/ark/angsprg.html Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter Raphael, Uriel, Michael, Gabriel Before me Raphael; Behind me Gabriel On my right hand Michael; On my left hand Auriel [i.e., Uriel]... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archangel
