Tattva 6: Aupapaduka

Aupapaduka-tattva (Sanskrit) [from aupapaduka self-producing + tattva thatness, reality from tad that] Self-born or parentless principle; second in the descending scale of seven cosmic tattvas, of which five only are enumerated in the philosophical schools of India. Aupapaduka has the mystical meaning of that which comes into being, whether in the cosmos or human being, out of its inherent energy and not as the offspring or child of a predecessor. Aupapaduka-tattva corresponds to the Second or Unmanifest Logos. http://www.theosociety.org/pasadena/etgloss/ato-az.htm
