Sun and Moon

Sun and Moon

These two celestial orbs being the manifest reminders of the transcendent male/+ and female/- polarities of the universe. The Sun is a direct symbol of the central, combustive, and active agent (Fire), while the Moon in her nature as the luminary reflecting the light of the Sun reminds us of the passive, liquid, and mutable agent (Water). In their celestial union-  what we may term the celestial Bridal Chamber- we find a symbolic allusion to the creation of the macrocosmic universe (hexagram).
