This is adopted in the Arabic tradition as the Budhu Square This is adopted in the Hebrew tradition as a Magic Square: The first nine letters Aleph, Beth, Gimel, Daleth, Heh, Vau, Zain, Cheth, Teth thus become;

Gimel Heh Zain
Cheth Aleph Vau
 
and we find
4 5 6 Daleth, Heth, Vau
8 5 2 Daleth, Heh Vau
 
The Cabala has a square with the same numbers sometimes in an inverted order:
