64 Arms The figure of Bhadrakali is drawn in several postures every day in intricate designs and colour combinations, says K.M. Radhakrishnan Nair, President of the committee. The drawing, which is relatively small at the beginning, is enlarged on the fourth, ei ght, eleventh and the twelfth or the concluding day of the festival, when it covers a full 1,500 square feet. On the first four days, the goddess is drawn as having eight arms, the next four days 16 arms, between the ninth and eleventh day, she has 32 arms and on the twelfth day, 64 arms.
