Teth

The letter TET is the basic consonant of the word for "staff". This word is associated with "snake", for Moses used his staff, changing it to a snake, to show a sign to Pharaoh. The snake is also a symbol of consciousness. In the Garden of Eden, the snake fell short of its original function of being helpful to man, and led him onto a path of self-destruction. When rectified, the snake represents the power to judge properly, and the highest consciousness associated with the coming of the Messiah. On the painting, the snake reaches up to the highest realms of the angels, and represents our striving for superconsciousness.http://members.optusnet.com.au/judy_racz/pages/letters/tet.html
