T In Hebrew: Tau or tav was the last letter of the alphabet and linked with the Southern Cross as the Mark of Boundary. The end of the Hebrew Alphabet is thus linked with the crossing of the Milky Way, the heavenly Jordan. Symbolically it is also a cutting off of the Second Adam. The first 12 letters of Hebrew have been linked with the 12 Zodiac signs. It is significant that letters 13-22 of the Hebrew Alphabet from Mem to Tau all represent stars (beginning with Eridanus) visible in the night sky during December- January. The crossing and the T are thus central to Hebrew. Indeed the story entails Orion, known in Hebrew as Heb: coming forth, as light. In Sanskrit: the Tavarga is linked with Sagittarrius the tavarga is linked with Makara = Capricorn and hence with the Winter Solstice. Tavarga - tavarga In Chinese D > T and conversely In Ancient Chinese numerals 6 was written as a T. http://www-groups.dcs.st-and.ac.uk/~history/HistTopics/Chinese_numerals.html The letter T as a hieroglyph is a loaf.
